Description of Foothills Craft Guild involvement in this event:

The Foothills Craft Guild has been invited to participate in the first annual Tennessee Valley Homecoming festival to be held in the Market Square area in downtown Knoxville, June 17 – 19, 2005. Many reunion festivities will be occurring at the same time in different locations: from exhibits and events in the TVA Towers (downtown Knoxville), to exhibits, crafts, and food on Market Square, to scheduled tours and speakers in Oak Ridge at several DOE facilities.

Approximately 20 to 25 Guild exhibitors will be provided with 10 X 10 tents and overnight security during this event. The Foothills Craft Guild booths will be located directly on Market Square, along with other exhibit booths and food vendors. The exact arrangement of the Guild booths has not been determined; however, an effort is being made to keep the Guild booths together in one area. Electricity will NOT be available, and you will have to bring your own display materials, including tables and chairs. Booth sharing with other Foothills members is permitted.

The Foothills exhibitor booths will have the following tentative schedule:

Friday June 17 noon – 7 pm (Exhibitor setup: 9 am-noon)

Saturday June 18 10 am – 7 pm

Sunday June 19 11 am – 6 pm

A booth fee of $110 will include a 10 X 10 tent with sides and overnight security. The Guild will try to supplement the general festival security with an extra guard designated for our area.

Please submit the following application and a check for the booth fee as soon as possible to the address indicated. Spaces are limited, so applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Negotiations are still underway to fine-tune all of the details – this page on the Foothills web site will be updated as new information is made available.

I have read and understand the requirements for participation in the 2005 Tennessee Valley Homecoming festival. Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis, with the date of postmark used if necessary. I furthermore understand that Festival Management reserves the right of exhibitor selection and final booth placement. Every effort will be made to provide a secure environment for exhibitors; however, the Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation and the Foothills Craft Guild cannot be held liable for loss or damage to exhibitor property.
