2006 Dogwood Arts Festival
on Market Square
Foothills Craft Guild
Please note some important changes to the upcoming Dogwood Arts Festival on Market Square.
The Market Square portion of the 2006 Dogwood Arts festival will be held for three days: Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday, April 21 - 23, 2006.
As always, there will be craft exhibitors and music located directly on Market Square.
In addition, an interactive light and music installation by nationally-known architect
Christopher Janney will be located in the Krutch Park extension.
For this reason and because the city will no longer allow tents on the grassy areas,
the Dogwood Arts Festival will combine all craft exhibitors and locate all exhibitor tents
directly on Market Square. Foothills Craft Guild members will not be located together
in one specific area as in the past two years. Food vendors will be positioned along Union Street,
and an outdoor wine tasting/microbrewery garden is planned for the parking lot behind AmSouth Bank.
Tentative hours for the Market Square craft exhibitors are as follows:
| Friday, April 21 |
Set-up 6 am - 11 am Show hours 11 am - 8 pm |
| Saturday, April 22 |
Show hours 10 am - 8 pm |
| Sunday, April 23 |
Show hours 11 am - 5 pm Show tear-down 5 pm - 10 pm |
As in the past, overnight security and tents with sides will be provided to Market Square
craft exhibitors for a booth fee of $200 for the 3-day event. Foothills Craft Guild members
are invited to apply. The focus this year is on quality, not quantity as the exhibit space in
Market Square is limited.
Please e-mail Kendra Patty at kendrawpatty@juno.com or call the Dogwood Arts Festival office
at (865) 637-4561 if you are interested in receiving an application. Make sure to ask for the
Market Square festival application.
Sincerely,
